Inquisitor Cal Kestis is currently the hardest boss in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Appearance[]
Inquisitor Cal is an exact replica of Cal Kestis, except he is wearing a suit of Inquisitor armour.
History[]
Upon using the astrium to open the Ancient Vault on Bogano, Cal had a vision of him finding the Holocron and using it to train several young Padawans as Jedi. However his vision turned into a nightmare where he was captured by the Second Sister and transformed into an inquisitor. Upon seeing his reflection he smashed the glass, banishing the evil version of himself.
Behaviour[]
Inquisitor Cal is an enemy in the Battle Grid mode of the Meditation Training in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, he resembles the nightmare of Cal falling to the dark side as seen in his vision. He can also be found in the Meditation Training challenge 'Fortress Inquisitor's Boss Rush'.
Inquisitor Cal has most of the players attacks such as both single blade and double blade attacks, he can also split his sabers dealing high damage. Cal also has a unique trick of putting away his lightsaber and fixing his hair, if the player attacks him he will Precision Evade from the attack and catch you off guard. Inquisitor Cal also possesses quite a few unblockables including one of the split-saber attacks; these are not as telegraphed as unblockables from other enemies. Inquisitor Cal also has a much better guard than the player, with far higher stamina. He's also immune to slow force effects and can slow and push you.
Strategy[]
Since Inquisitor Cal's a tough enemy, strategy must be applied in order to defeat him:
- Precision Evade. If you have the precision evade slow effect and kick ability, do this to evade everything he does. Don't try to parry everything as he has some unparriable moves you can't react fast to.
- Heavy Attack. When you manage to break Inquisitor Cal's guard, press Triangle to do the heavy attack and do it again to break some of his guard when he recovers from the strike.
- Brush Hair Trick Counter. If he stops to brush his hair, throw your lightsaber at him as he can't precision evade that
- Max Level Jedi vs Hardest Boss. It's recommended to fight Inquisitor Cal with max health, max force and all abilities.
- Slow Evade. If he slows you, dodge backwards immediately as he can either dash at you or throw his lightsaber at you.
- Combo Avoid. He might be able to do the double lightsaber combo. If he does this, block first, then roll away and throw your lightsaber.
- Split Saber Evade. When he does the Double Lightsaber Split attack, parry the first attack and then evade the next as this is unparriable or if he does the Single Split attack, parry first, precision evade and then kick.
- Ground Slam. When he does the ground slam, dodge backwards and throw your lightsaber. If you're too close, double jump and attack mid-air.
- Attacking too much. Don't try to attack him a lot as he might evade and kick you or hit you with his lightsaber. If he rolls away, roll away as well. Make sure to sometimes roll away when you attack him.
- The Force. Push and Pull can also help break his guard, but slowing him is useless.
